Scholar Formation: Progymnasmata

This course will be taught by Jocelyn Benson on Wednesdays at 4pm CT. The course covers 15 weeks of material with weekly live and recorded classes, quizzes, and interactive assignments to reinforce learning.

Course Description: Pro-gymnasmata means preliminary exercises. Aelius Theon said in his On the education of the young, “These things [progymnasmata] are, as it were, the foundation of every kind (idea) of discourse.…” In this course, scholars will learn about the Progymnasmata and how to implement it with the scholars under their tutelage.
