Natural Drills in Expression with Selections was written in 1909 by Arthur Edward Phillips, the Director of the Department of Public Speaking at the Theological Seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Chicago and Principal of the Phillips School of Oratory in Chicago. This public domain  volume mostly consists of tone drills with colloquial and classical examples. The editor, Andrew Richard, has expanded the original by adding Biblical examples.
