Introduction to Classical Curriculum and Instructional Design
Description
This course will be taught by Holly James on Tuesdays at 4:00pm CT. The course covers 15 weeks of material with weekly live and recorded classes, quizzes, and interactive assignments to reinforce learning. (Schedule subject to change per instructor’s discretion.) Classes are only $250 per semester ($225 for members!). Space is limited. Register now to secure your spot! Members must login before purchasing the class in order to receive the member discount. Course Description: This course will cover the fundamentals of information organization for effective instruction in the classroom. Readings and discussions will encourage students to ponder thinking, knowledge, and the structure of a classical Lutheran education, which will inform the design of robust educational materials. Students will learn strategies for writing clear syllabi and lesson, unit, and annual plans, and will have the opportunity to practice these strategies by writing plans of their own and receiving constructive, individualized feedback. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have a portfolio of lesson, unit, and annual plans aligning with CCLE Educator Certification Mark II.1.

Refund policy: A full refund (less processing fees) will be assessed prior to the registration deadline. Any requests for refund after the registration deadline but before the first day of class will be awarded 50% refund. This class is non-refundable after the beginning of the semester.
