Upper Level Math & Science Teacher

Mount Hope Lutheran School in Casper, WY is seeking a full-time math and science teacher for the upper level students (grades 7-12), to begin teaching in the 2026-2027 school year. Mount Hope Lutheran School is a long-standing classical Lutheran school, founded in 1983, and has been named an Exemplary School by the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education. The school serves students K-12 and has been experiencing significant growth over the past several years.

The upper level teacher will be responsible for teaching math and science to students in grades 7-12. Science classes are split by Jr. High and High School. Math classes are split by ability and use the Saxon Math curriculum. There is another full-time teacher for the upper level students who teaches the humanities, and there are also several part-time teachers for the upper grades.

Applicants must be members in good standing of a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation.

Applicants must have:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher level of education

• Proper respect for authority

• Knowledge of mathematics

• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the sciences

• Zeal to learn, study, and continually increase knowledge

• Good organizational skills

Additional skills, any of which will increase eligibility for the position:

• A background in classical Lutheran education

• Knowledge of music theory

• Ability to play piano

• Ability to conduct a choir
