3rd & 4th Grade Teacher

Mount Hope Lutheran School in Casper, WY is seeking a full-time 3rd & 4th grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Mount Hope Lutheran School is a long-standing classical Lutheran school, founded in 1983, and has been named an Exemplary School by the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education. The school serves students K-12 and has been experiencing significant growth over the past several years.

The 3rd & 4th grade teacher prepares lessons for all subjects following the MHLS curriculum guide: religion, spelling, reading, writing, handwriting, math, history, geography, art, science, and music. Some subjects are taught to the entire class at the same time, while others are taught in smaller groups according to the students’ abilities. The 3rd & 4th grade teacher has a solid volunteer base and support from the headmaster and other teachers.

Applicants must:

• have a bachelor’s degree or higher level of education

• be members in good standing of a Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation

• have proper respect for authority

• be zealous to learn, study, and continually increase knowledge

A teacher for this age group and level of ability should:

• enjoy routine and structure

• be patient and kind, but firm, as children learn what is expected of them

• speak clearly so students may understand

• be able to write neatly at all times

• be self-motivated and learn to anticipate the children

• love reading and love learning, and share these joys with the class

• have a neat appearance

• have good organizational skills

• be able to maintain a pleasant and cheerful disposition around the students

• be able to facilitate Christian reconciliation among students
