Progymnasmata means preliminary exercises. Aelius Theon said in his On the education of the young, “These things [progymnasmata] are, as it were, the foundation of every kind (idea) of discourse.…” In this course, scholars will learn about the Progymnasmata and how to implement it with the scholars under their tutelage.
