The course is designed to give you a basic understanding of Latin grammar, syntax, and pronunciation and will help build your vocabulary. You will be guided through class lectures, discussions, and passages from authentic Latin works. You will be introduced to the vocabulary and pronunciation of Latin, and gain familiarity with ancient authors. No previous instruction in Latin is necessary.
