Mrs. Christine Rivers

Mrs. Christine Elliott Rivers holds a B.A. in Education from Concordia Chicago and an M.A. from The Ohio State University in Literature and Rhetoric. In the past twenty-five years, she has taught every grade from kindergarten to college. She is also the author of a series of fairy tales based on Luther's Small Catechism. When she is not teaching or writing, she is out adventuring in the wild with her husband, their three children, and their dog.

Every teacher dreams of an Edenic classroom, filled with joyful, industrious students, but we as teachers must purposefully design the procedures and create the culture that students need in order to thrive. In this session, we will look specifically at what teachers can do to set themselves up for success before students ever enter the room.
