Rev. Dr. Chad Kendall
Rev. Dr. Chad Kendall serves as associate vice president for church relations and mission at Concordia University Chicago. He also serves as associate professor of theology at Concordia. He earned a B.S. in Business Management and Administration from Bradley University. He earned his M.Div. and Ph.D. from Concordia Theological Seminary at Fort Wayne. Dr. Kendall oversees the mission and identity of Concordia University. In addition, he oversees church relations and works with donors and constituents to support the university. Dr. Kendall is married to Stacie (33 years). They have two sons and a grandson, and a crazy australian shepherd dog named Butch.

Protreptics is an ancient form of apologetics that seeks to invite people with different philosophies of life to the higher art of living that is found in the Christian faith. This form of apologetics employs narrative forms of discourse with many technical pieces that inform life and teaching. It seeks to find points of common agreement, is a form of persuasion found in the Scriptures and Patristic writings. It was used extensively by Clement of Alexandria.
