Again this year, there are some significant changes in the Consortium for Classical Lutheran Education (CCLE) Essay, Penmanship, and Recitation contests.
The most notable change is the timing of the contests. The Board has decided to spread the contests throughout the school year rather than “bunch” them up at the end of the school year.
Penmanship and Essay Contest information will be available at a later time.
Here are the 2020 Recitation Contest Directions and Rubrics.
Changes for the 2020 Recitation Contest include the addition of a specific memory focus per level and the addition of a division for Latin memory recitations. Since this is the first time for a Latin memory division, CCLE is also providing a document: Resources for Latin Recitation Contest CCLE 2020.
The deadline for submitting entries is January 10, 2020.
Both student winners and their teachers will be announced by April 12, 2020.
Please review and share the directions, rubrics, and resources documents with your teachers.
The CCLE Board hopes that you will encourage your faculty and students to participate.
